Friend, on issues concerning our fundamental rights as Americans, there should be no question of party – only of our representatives doing their job and voting to uphold the wishes of their constituents. 

On that note, I'm quite proud of the way Democrats and even several Republicans came together in 2022 to pass the Respect for Marriage Act and protect every American's right to marry who they love. 

But we cannot forget that the majority of Republicans in Congress voted against protecting this fundamental right. Or that with Roe v. Wade overturned, reproductive freedoms remain on their chopping block, and a nationwide abortion ban is a real, dangerous possibility – even though 61% of Americans believe abortion should be legal.

Time and time again, Republicans have proven that the will of voters means all too little to them. It's up to us to make sure protecting abortion rights is a priority in the year ahead – and if Republicans refuse to protect this fundamental right, we must come together once more and vote them out of office in 2024. 

So I'm personally asking you to stand with me now and show our legislators, Democratic and Republican, how utterly critical an issue this is, friend: Please, will you take a stand for reproductive freedom now, before this live poll closes at midnight? I'm counting on another 500 responses to send a strong message to the GOP.
