There is a TON of behind-the-scenes work that goes into recruiting and supporting diverse young progressives to run for state and local races.
To recruit young leaders we first have to find them. That means holding events across the country and online, it means tapping into our network of supporters, and engaging in all kinds of digital outreach (sort of like this email 😏).
Once we’ve found passionate young leaders (like you!) to run for office, we offer hands-on, personalized support and attention to every single one of them as they navigate the campaign process. That means coaching and training on data, mentorship, volunteer outreach, strategy, you name it.
Each year we recruit tens of thousands of potential candidates and endorse hundreds of people running for state and local offices. Even if you're not a numbers person, you can see that it all adds up.
