Believe it or not, we’re just catching up on this news from our race:

We knew we were at a cash disadvantage in the last election, and this highlights just how hard the GOP fought to defeat us and flip this seat. But it also goes to show that cash isn’t the be-all end-all for campaigns, and it’s more proof that spending effectively (rather than lavishly) can achieve big results. 

That’s why when you contribute, we use the money in ways that are essential to our strategy. Because we rely on grassroots support, not big-dollar donations from special interests, we’re extremely conservative with our funds – and we won’t light cash on fire just to say we raised and spent more. We’re carrying that principle forward as we kick off our efforts to re-elect Eric.

We’re aiming to raise a very attainable $20,000 in online donations before the FEC quarterly deadline on New Year’s Eve. As it stands, we’re just about $9,000 short . Will you help get us over the top with a $5 contribution?
