Governor Cuomo made NO proposals in his January 8, 2020 State of the State address to strengthen or support child care. He also made contradictory remarks on K-12 education funding. We have one week to make clear to the Governor that the Executive Budget MUST contain a substantial investment in child care, Pre- K & K-12 education.

Our children, from cradle to career, need to be a top priority for New York State.

My name is ____________ and I'm calling from ______________ county. I am deeply disappointed that in the Governor’s State of the State address, there was no mention of child care at all. And I'm frustrated with his refusal to fully fund Foundation Aid for our schools. This is unacceptable. New York’s child care system is in crisis and pre-K-12 education is hanging on by a thin thread. It's time to make New York's children and their learning a top priority.
