When Will & Grace premiered 24 years ago during President Clinton’s second term, the success and cultural influence of the show was clear from the start. By lifting up under-represented voices around us, both as actors and as characters on screen, we created something special, and I am so proud of its lasting impact.

There is still much work to be done in advancing equality and deepening understanding and acceptance for all. I am constantly seeking inspiration as I continue my work advocating for equality, and I often find great inspiration in the work of the Clinton family and the Clinton Foundation. So today, I’m asking you to join me in supporting the Clinton Foundation as they continue to address some of the world’s most pressing issues around inequality. 

I personally applaud the Foundation’s support of full equality and participation for women and girls worldwide. These efforts have had real, measurable impact — and must continue moving forward.

In fact, just weeks ago, Secretary Clinton and Chelsea hosted the Women’s Voices Summit in Little Rock, where leading voices from around the world shared ideas and strategies to achieve full gender equality — once and for all. At the Clinton Global Initiative meeting in September, commitments were made by business, philanthropic, and global leaders to support the health and rights of women and girls worldwide. This is the impact of the Clintons and the Clinton Foundation; the ability to bring people together to take action that makes a difference.
