Fighting those who want to erase the diversity of American experiences

People For Supporter - Truth is one of the key pillars of our work to protect democracy… and lately it seems to be in short supply.

Across the country, we are seeing local school boards harassed, teachers subjected to censorship of books in their classrooms, and backlash to curriculums not even taught in K-12 schools.

Passing inclusive civics and history standards in all 50 states is a major priority as we head into 2023 and beyond. But this, like all of our work, relies on hitting our fundraising goal by December 31. The matching challenge in effect will also TRIPLE your contribution, if made before the deadline!

Please, time is running out to make your year-end gift and triple your impact on protecting Truth, Justice and the American Way. Donate now →

White text on a blue overlay reads "Your Gift x3 = Truth + Democracy in 2023. Support educators. Fight book bans. Defend truth." With a red button that reads "Donate Now." To the right of the text is an educator in a blazer holding books and smiling.

School board members should not need to worry about security threats at meetings.

Teachers shouldn’t have to tirelessly defend the content taught in their classroom to a growing group of self-deputized censors.

Parents should have confidence that their children have the freedom to learn the truth about our nation’s history and the ongoing effort to perfect the American ideal.

Cuts to education funding across the country have already caused teaching and staffing shortages, and we must do more to lift up educators rather than putting new roadblocks in their way.

That’s where you come in.

Your gift to People For today will promote opportunities to fight censorship, support teachers, and mobilize voters in fighting against further right-wing extremist attacks on our education system.
