Dear Friend of Israel,
Today, Israel remains surrounded on all sides by terrorist groups seeking the destruction of the Jewish state.
- Terror from the air: Earlier this year, terrorists in Gaza fired 1,100 rockets at Israel over 3 days, forcing thousands into bomb shelters. The rockets were fired from populated areas in Gaza toward populated areas in Israel—a double war crime.
- Terror on the ground: 29 Israelis were killed this year in a wave of shooting, stabbing, bombing and car ramming attacks. Just last month, a terrorist detonated two bombs in Jerusalem, killing two Israelis (including a teenager) and injuring 19 others. Both explosions occurred at bus stops during rush hour.
- Terror below ground: Since 2014, Israel has destroyed over 50 Hamas terror tunnels. Yet the danger of Israelis being kidnapped or attacked via tunnels under the Gaza border remains. Just last month, The U.N. said it discovered a new tunnel being used by terror groups under a school for Palestinian children. It’s yet another example of terrorists using civilians as human shields.
As Israel’s enemies continue to ramp up their aggression, the alliance between America and Israel is more important than ever – and there’s something you can do TODAY to ensure it remains strong.
