Hey John!
It’s been awhile since I’ve reached out, as I’ve been busy leading our transition committee and planning for inauguration. I hope you’re having a warm and joyful holiday season with your friends and family. As we close out 2022 and prepare to enter a new year, I am so incredibly grateful for you and your support.
Together, we made history this November and built the largest, most diverse political campaign that Maryland has ever seen. Like Wes says, it’s a movement, not a moment — which is exactly why we need to refuel and ensure we have the resources to rebuild our infrastructure, continue reaching out to Marylanders across the state, and keep up our momentum into 2023 and beyond.
The tricky thing is, once Wes and I are sworn into office and officially serving in session this January 18, we have to halt all fundraising activities. Most campaigns can fundraise every day throughout the year, but we’re limited to only fundraising when we’re not in session. That creates a very big challenge for us, but with this team by our side, I know we can overcome it.
Like Wes said, we need to raise $75,000 by tomorrow at 11:59pm ET. We’re still a few thousand dollars short, but I know if enough people reading this chip in just $10 or $25, we can reach it in no time!
Please, if you can, make a grassroots contribution of any amount before tomorrow’s crucial End-of-Year deadline. Wes and I deeply appreciate it.

Happy New Year — I can’t wait to serve you as your Lieutenant Governor in 2023!
