ACLU Supporter,
With less than 24 hours to go before the New Year, I am urging you to take one highly effective action to ensure we can carry our fight for trans justice strong into 2023 – donate now and your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
From fighting sports bans to challenging efforts to deny young people access to gender-affirming medical care to attempts to criminalize parents' efforts to love and support their trans kids, we've had to push back on multiple fronts all year long. And it made a difference – you made a difference.
But make no mistake, these attacks will continue in 2023 – state legislative sessions start as early as next week and we already know anti-trans laws are on many politicians' agendas. That's why we need dedicated supporters like you with us now – and in the long-haul fight.
Donate today and your gift will be matched, doubling your impact for the urgent work ahead.
ACLU Supporter, we're fighting every day for the safety and rights of our trans communities across the country. In Texas, we sued – and won – in our cases to protect trans kids and their families from politicians who think that parents who support their trans children should be investigated. And in Arkansas, we're challenging a law that would prohibit healthcare professionals from providing or referring trans young people for medically necessary healthcare.
But as I said, state legislative sessions begin next week, and elected officials behind the most vicious and discriminatory anti-trans policies this year – are ready to double down on their hate-fueled effort in 2023 too.
Trans rights will be under attack from all angles in 2023. That's why we cannot let up. We need more supporters like you to show up with us now – and in the months ahead. Donate now and your gift will be matched, doubling your impact for the critical work in the New Year.
I believe in a world where every person can live openly and authentically as themselves. Together, we can make that world a reality.
With gratitude for all you do,
Chase Strangio
