John, together we are building schools, classrooms, and learning environments where LGBTQ+ students don’t just survive—they thrive. Supporters like you can provide a lifeline for these students.

GLSEN’s most recent National School Climate Survey included some disturbing trends. Homophobic and negative remarks about gender expression increased in 2020 and 2021.
82% of LGBTQ+ students reported feeling unsafe in school because of at least one of their actual or perceived personal characteristics. Almost a third of students surveyed missed at least one school day in the past month because they felt unsafe or uncomfortable.

John, your support couldn’t come at a more crucial time.
GLSEN advances racial equity, gender, and disability justice in all our work in schools nationwide. We are working to end hateful rhetoric, invalidating school policies, discrimination, and bullying.
Your gift today will profoundly impact the lives of LGBTQ+ students in the coming year. Thank you.
