john: If history is any indication -- and I'm willing to bet it is -- our race is about to heat up.

In 2018, the Tennessee Senate race cost MILLIONS of dollars. The Republican candidate received huge infusions of cash from Washington Republicans and GOP groups plus the support of President Trump on the campaign trail.

Now, it's 2020, and there are TWO Republican candidates in our race. One of them is a wealthy self-funder and the other has deep ties to Trump and the Washington Republican establishment.

I don't have all of that.

I'm a combat veteran who isn't taking a dollar from corporate PACs. I know -- it probably sounds like an uphill battle, and john, it will be. But I've always faced challenges head-on, and I'm in this race because Tennesseans need a leader who will stand up for what's right.

A lot of eyes are going to be a race and a lot of money is going to be spent. I'm counting on grassroots supporters like you to chip in whatever they can to compete with the big checks being cut for my opponents.
