Hi John, it’s Rep. Greg Casar, the newly elected Congressman from Texas Congressional District 35.
As one of the newest members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), I’ve been elected Progressive Caucus Whip, the #3 leadership position in the caucus.
John, I’m excited to continue working with Rep. Pramila Jayapal in her role as CPC Chair. Pramila is a true progressive whose support was crucial in my election, and I know together, we can keep delivering for working families.
Elected officials run for office as individuals — but we can only govern as a team. It’s never been more important to have a unified caucus. That is why today, I’m hoping that you’ll donate to support Pramila, so she can keep leading our caucus.
The Congressional Progressive Caucus stands for everyday working people by passing legislation that will help us build a fair economy, enact universal health care, protect civil rights, and advocate for climate justice.
Under Pramila’s leadership, I know that we can continue to align our members on votes and goals. With only a slim Republican majority in the U.S. House, we can achieve our economic and civil rights priorities that help working families, but only if we move in unity and solidarity.
