The final FEC deadline of the year is in just two days. But before I ask you to make a $3 contribution to my campaign, I want to explain why this deadline and your support are important.

First up, this is an official deadline. That means that, once we close the books, we’re required to publicly report our fundraising — including what we’ve raised and how many people have donated. Republicans, pundits and the gun lobby will all be looking at our numbers. So we cannot risk showing any signs of vulnerability for our opponents to exploit.

I’m grateful for every donation — no matter the size — because each one makes a difference. So if you have it in your budget to make your first donation before 2022 ends, please know that it would mean a lot to me.
