John, So often people ask us, “what are you doing to help the church” That’s because we all care about keeping our churches strong and free. One of the things that makes Texas Values unique is our ministry mindset and comprehensive approach to the work we do. Two years ago we launched the Church Ambassador Network, which is designed to create relationships between pastors and elected officials in Texas. It is our goal to have pastors and congregations engage government in a way that honors God and positively impacts the lives of those serving in office as well as all the other people who call Texas home. You can just talk about doing this, you actually have to leave the four walls of the church and do this work on the ground. Watch here for more details. We have invested substantial time and resources, we have hired new people who have a church ministry background; and now we need your help, we need you to step up and partner with us, prayerfully and financially for this important and eternal effort. Our work through the Texas Church Ambassador Network fits perfectly with our decade long commitment and success in protecting religious freedom through court cases and essential state legislation. Since 2013, we have led the effort to pass major state laws, like the Merry Christmas law, the Pastor Protection Law, the Save Chick Fil A Religious Freedom law, and laws the make Churches Essential in law and prevent them from being closed by the government because of COVID or any other reasons. We have also worked on numerous court cases to protect religious freedom for churches, pastors and individuals, like successfully protecting a Christian-based Christmas parade in Taylor, Texas after the City and Drag Queens and their supporters try to knock Christ out of Christmas. We also supported Coach Joe Kennedy with a Supreme Court legal court brief and now Coach Kennedy now he can have his right to pray and get his job back!! We all know that freedom is not free. God’s grace may be freely given but we can’t provide free legal and policy help unless you do your part by making a tax-deductible donation today. We’ve had made it easier for you because a new generous investor has pledged $50,000 to our work and this supporter is challenging you to match it! That means all donations up to $50,000 will effectively be doubled!! $25 becomes $50, $100 becomes $200, $500 becomes $1000. We still need to raise $300,000 by midnight on December 31st. This year, and for ten (10) years, we have stepped out on faith, for Christians, for the church, for religious freedom. We now need your help. If you have already donated earlier in the year, please consider making a one-time end of year gift, and forward this email to like-minded friends and family. |
