What a year it’s been.

Together, we were able to accomplish so much, and for that, I’m deeply grateful.

2022 was one of the most productive years since I was elected in passing progressive legislation and tackling some of the most consequential issues facing our country. At the top of the list is the Inflation Reduction Act, which included measures I fought for to lower prescription drug prices as well as the single largest investment to address the climate crisis in history.

But that’s not all. A few other milestones include passing gun violence prevention legislation in the Safer Communities Act and protecting same-sex and interracial marriage with the Respect for Marriage Act. Finally, I’m proud we passed the PACT Act expanding health care for veterans exposed to toxic burn pits. I worked for years with passionate Vermonters who never gave up on that bill, and because of their tireless work we were finally successful.

And of course, I’m thankful for the support of this grassroots movement that powered our campaign for the U.S. Senate to victory. Because of our movement built on empowering people and organizing on issues that impact everyday life, I’ll be able to have an even greater impact in the Senate. We all know the work ahead won’t be easy, but with supporters like you behind me, I know we can continue to make a real difference.
