John, Factory farming, which concentrates large numbers of animals and their waste, has come to dominate U.S. livestock production. This model of industrial-scale agriculture, run by Big Ag corporations, pollutes the environment and harms animals, workers and rural communities.
In 2023 it’s time we ban factory farms!
Our food would be more sustainable for everyone if Big Ag wasn't controlling it. Factory farms harm people, animals and the planet by:
💧 Polluting our air and our water
🐖 Confining billions of animals in cruel conditions
🏘️ Harming communities of color and low-resource areas
🧑🌾 Wiping out independent farms and gutting rural communities
❌ Extorting consumers and robbing them of real choices
Food & Water Action is fighting to ban factory farms and move us to a more just and sustainable food system, centered on diversified farms with animals on pasture — not in confinement.
But this won’t happen if mega-corporations can continue to rig the system. We need to take back our power and break Big Ag’s stranglehold on our food – and that starts with banning factory farms!
