Match still on for Montgomery Woods

----------

Jack, do you know about this hidden gem?

Montgomery Woods State Natural Reserve [[link removed]] gets us as close as we can ever get to experience real magic.

As you stroll through this bewitching landscape, you’ll hear a creek bubbling in the background, and you can sense the movement of wildlife through lush foliage. You can look up at awe-inspiring, humbling trees – seemingly sprung from mythology – and soak up that rare feeling of old-growth wonder.

For years, Save the Redwoods League has brought all of our expertise to make a long-term investment in this place.

The next step in our work is purchasing a conservation easement at Weger Ranch , adjacent to Montgomery Woods, ensuring it will never be subdivided or developed . Will you join us in this effort? [[link removed]]

Donate before December 31st and every dollar will be doubled to further the Montgomery Woods Initiative, up to $250,000. [[link removed]]

This initiative is a puzzle, patching together a sweeping protected area, piece by piece – and making a key contribution to mitigating the effects of climate change by fostering mature second-growth and old-growth forests.

This initiative began with the purchase of Atkins Place and the kickoff of the loop trail reconstruction in the old-growth grove of the reserve – thanks to the generosity of supporters like you.

Now, we’re moving forward to protect and acquire more key properties. We’re restoring the grove at Montgomery Woods, and we’re connecting people to this captivating forest by improving park infrastructure and public outreach.

Make your matched gift to the Montgomery Woods Initiative. [[link removed]]

Save the Redwoods is investing in Montgomery Woods. We invite you to join us to protect, restore, and connect people to this dazzling forest.

Thank you for your contribution to this work.
