"It is a life-affirming experience to support CSE."
Friends –
I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by, and I am really grateful for the connections that our team at the Campaign for Southern Equality made along the way. We wanted to know why our community is so passionate about CSE and what motivates supporters to work alongside us year after year. We asked a few folks and wanted to share their responses with you.
“I’ve gladly donated to CSE since the organization launched in 2011. I became a monthly donor as my way of thanking them for their continued dedication to furthering the rights of all LGBTQ Southerners.”
– Judy Major, Monthly Donor
"We’re proud to support CSE as a business. We see a lot of tourists come in and out of our store, and it feels good to know that those dollars go to supporting a great cause. We love CSE!"
"It is a life-affirming experience to support CSE. I volunteer because the opportunities always feel like worthwhile ways to connect people directly to services, resources, and affirmations about LGBTQ identity."
– Beth Rankin, Volunteer
Judy mentioned the importance of CSE’s advocacy work in shaping public attitudes about LGBTQ Southerners, and how that can help bring about change. I feel like this is something we can all do by being our full selves.
Beth shared our new Supportive Schools Guide within her networks, ensuring that an important resource gets into more hands. And our friends at Horse and Hero have been longtime small business partners. Thanks to all of these folks for being part of our CSE community and doing the work of fighting for LGBTQ equality throughout the South.
