Dear Friend,
Many of the people who will gain power in the new Congress just a few days from now have pledged to do everything in their power to
CUT Social Security and Medicare.
They have already used distortions, disinformation and plain lies to justify their decades-long quest to put an end to what they call “socialism” or “entitlements.”
That last one makes me so mad I want to shout: THESE ARE OUR EARNED BENEFITS!
But, instead, I will follow a more constructive path and ask you to join me in supporting the Alliance Ed Fund with a special year-end contribution to get out the FACTS these people are trying to hide:
FACT: Social Security is the greatest anti-poverty program in history, and
FACT: Medicare continues to be the best-run health insurance program in the U.S.
Imagine trying to cut financial support to seniors as prescription drug prices continue to spiral out of control and inflation is chipping away at seniors’ fixed incomes?
And yet …
…MANY in the new Congress will try to do just that. They’ve pledged their loyalty to Wall Street Fat Cats and BIG Money donors who want to put our hard earned Social Security and Medicare benefits directly into the pockets of investment banks and insurance conglomerates.
The Alliance Ed Fund is dedicated to shining the light on these people! We use the FACTS to take on anyone who stands between us and the secure retirement we have earned.
