Governor DeWine Appoints Joan Synenberg to Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Joan Synenberg to the Cuyahoga Court of Common Pleas.?
Synenberg, of Bratenahl, will assume office on Jan. 14, 2023, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Deborah Turner, who was elected to a different seat on the court of common pleas. Synenberg must run for election in November 2024 to retain the seat.?
Following sixteen years as a trial lawyer, Synenberg served two years as a Cleveland Municipal Court judge and sixteen years on the Common Pleas Court. She formerly presided over a Mental Health Developmental Disability docket and currently presides over Recovery Court, a dual diagnosis docket.
Synenberg earned her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Before pursuing her law degree, she earned a bachelor of arts degree from Cleveland State University.?
Synenberg previously served as a Board Member of the Cleveland Peacemakers Alliance and the AIDS Task Force of Greater Cleveland and currently serves as a Board Member of the Northeast Ohio SPCA Pet Shelter.
