Dear Friend,
My name is Eric Hall, and I’m a Movement Fellow of Jobs With Justice’s Advancing Black Strategists Initiative. I am writing today to tell you my story and ask for your support to help Amazon workers, mineworkers, auto workers, and others in Alabama who are organizing to confront corporate greed and improve the lives of our families and communities.
I never imagined being a part of a team planning a global campaign to combat Amazon, together with 80 unions and organizations in 32 countries. Together we brought stories of Amazon workers in Bessemer to a national stage, showing the world how we in Bessemer are fighting for safe working conditions and a living wage. The world needs to know that we are overworked, underpaid, and not valued by the company.
Today I am asking for your support: to support Southern workers by donating to the Advancing Black Strategists Initiative (ABSI), a project that will truly transform what’s possible for Black communities in the south while training a new generation of Black leaders like me. Please, make a donation today and see your dollars immediately DOUBLED, dollar for dollar, thanks to a generous donor.
Becoming an ABSI Movement Fellow has given me a wealth of knowledge on the interconnectedness of race, class, and capitalism. Through the Fellowship, I’ve built a network of labor organizers and strategists working to make my home state of Alabama a better place for working people.
We have big dreams and still need to raise the funds to ensure a second cohort of Movement Fellows can happen – so I ask you to please waste no time in making your generous year-end donation today!
Thank you for everything,
