Community safety has never meant more police or policing our communities. Instead, we believe we can keep us safe. True community safety comes from investing in our neighborhoods and moving away from the oppressive system of policing and towards alternatives that holistically support our communities and allow us to thrive.
At Advancement Project, we are working on innovative strategies to address the root causes of crime and promote healing and restoration in our communities. The Justice Project is engaging in critical work that challenges racial criminalization that plagues our communities in our policing and mass incarceration infrastructure. It is through your support that this work is possible -- so today, we are asking you to continue to support our fight for police-free communities by making a donation to Advancement Project.

Our country is at a crossroads when it comes to issues of policing, criminal justice, and systemic racism. This led us to create our three-part animated series "How Cops Get Off" this year. Our goal for the series was to expose how our culture, laws, institutions, and the people who run them prop up corrupt police and shield cops from accountability.
We built this campaign with the goal of presenting the narrative as to why we need to DEFUND THE POLICE and invest in alternatives to policing and move our communities towards real safety. A gift today will power the work of centering our impacted communities so they can redefine safety outside of the criminal legal system.

As we look ahead to 2023, we will continue working towards ending cash bail, taking cops out of traffic stops, and closing jails and prisons. We know we are not doing this alone, we are working partners on the ground and counting on supporters like you.
We know that this is a challenging time for many, but any amount of support you can offer will make a difference. Together, we can work to re-imagine a future where public safety and justice are truly for all.
Onward,
The Advancement Project Team
