Hi Friend,
As we wrap up a year that was full of growth, heartbreak, and resistance, we want to thank you for being with URGE every step of the way. With your continued support, we were able to facilitate and uplift incredible acts of organizing and advocacy by Black, Indigenous, and other young people of color, particularly those that are queer and trans.

The following are just a few moments young people showed their power in 2022:

* When
the
Supreme
Court
denied
the
constitutional
right
to
abortion
and
paved
the
way
for
half
of
the
country
to
ban
abortion,
young
people
took
to
the
streets;
*
State
legislatures,
again
and
again,
attacked
the
right
of
trans
youth
to
live,
learn,
and
thrive,
and
young
people
testified,
protested,
and
spoke
out;
*
As
the
twin
perils
of
white
nationalism
and
attacks
on
our
democracy
have
risen,
young
people
rose
up
in
righteous
opposition;
and
*
Despite
many
being
denied
the
right
to
fully
participate
in
our
democracy
because
of
their
immigration
status
or
experiences
with
the
criminal
punishment
system,
or
because
gerrymandering
or
other
dirty
tricks
to
deny
or
dilute
their
voting
power,
young
people
turned
out
in
droves
for
the
midterm elections.
