After the Jan. 6 assault on our Capitol, we increased our focus on the urgent need to pass legislation to protect our elections and ensure our democracy fully represents the diversity of our society. That’s why the SPLC is dramatically increasing our work to defend voting rights and build participation in our democracy. This year, your support allowed us to grow our Vote Your Voice program that awarded over $4.6 million in Vote Your Voice funding to help 39 grassroots organizations mobilize voters in the Deep South. These grants add to an earlier investment of more than $11 million in two-year grants awarded last year.
