2022 was a historic year for student loan borrowers with the Biden Administration’s announcement that all borrowers earning less than $125,00 per year would receive $10,000 of federal student loan debt cancellation, with an additional $10,000 cancelled for students who received Pell Grants. This plan also includes reforms to repayment plans including Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and Income-Driven Repayment (IDR).
