I’m going to be candid with you — we’re 48 hours away from our end-of-year deadline and we’re falling short of our goal.

After the midterm elections, our fundraising took a big dip. December is typically a slow month because people tend to tune out from politics and donations slow to a trickle over the holidays.

Don’t get me wrong — it’s completely understandable — and I hope you’re enjoying this special time of year.

However, we’re only 62% of the way to reaching our end-of-year goal. I’m not going to pretend this is the end of the world — because it’s not — but we have two paths forward:

1. We need more folks than usual to chip in before Saturday’s deadline;
2. Or folks need to chip in a little bit more than usual.
