Dear John,
When Coach ShaDe' created a volleyball league at her school, she never imagined the impact it would have. That is until Coach met Jada.
Before the league started, Jada, an 8th grader, was quiet and unsure of herself. “She could kind of just get lost in the crowd,” ShaDe' said. As Coach was setting up volleyball teams, she encouraged Jada to join, hoping it would help the eighth grader build stronger friendships. After a few weeks, Jada discovered that she not only LOVED playing the game, but also enjoyed being part of a team. Her classmates saw her smile and confidence increase, and her positive energy lifted up everyone around her.
Because of Coach ShaDe’s efforts, Jada became way more engaged on the court and also in class and with her peers. Today, Jada is an active leader on her volleyball team and doing well in school too!
Your support today will connect students with caring adults like Coach ShaDe' and unleash their self-confidence through play.
