Every gift in 2022 will be matched No images? Click here John, This year your hard work and support paid off when we elected strong environmental leaders across Washington. We reelected strong environmental champions Sen. Emily Randall, Sen. Sharon Shewmake, and Rep. Dave Paul. And we added new environmental champions like Rep. Chris Stearns and Sen. Claudia Kauffman. These leaders will make a lasting difference for our environment. And with the 2022 election now behind us, we are already looking to 2023. We will need to elect strong environmental champions to local office to protect our communities and begin building toward 2024. This work has already started and we need your support. When we win local races we can protect people from the impacts of polluted air and water. We can continue to push back on new and expanded fossil fuel terminals that would tie us to fossil fuel terminals for generations to come. We can make decisions about our transportation systems that have a huge effect on climate pollution. But these local races are often won or lost by dozens of votes. That means that every vote matters in 2023 and every voter we can reach out to could be the margin of victory. Which is why we are working to recruit strong candidates, support environmental champions, and build power in communities where big decisions will be made on the environment in 2023 and beyond. WCV is standing with local leaders protecting their communities, with State Representatives, State Senators, and Governor Inslee as they work to move our state forward. Will you join us by making a donation before the end of the year so we are ready to elect local champions in 2023? Best, Joy Joy Stanford |
