PFAS chemicals are dangerous. They’re everywhere. And they’re forever.

In the decades since the dangers of PFAS first came to light, little progress has been made to clean up PFAS contamination. That’s why I have joined EWG in speaking to Congress about the urgent need for protection from these toxic chemicals.

This year, EWG has made incredible strides tackling the PFAS contamination crisis. The EPA designated two PFAS chemicals as hazardous substances, finally jump-starting the cleanup process and helping to hold polluters financially accountable.

But there is more to be done to get these “forever chemicals” out of our environment. EWG needs to keep up its PFAS research and advocacy so we can protect the thousands of communities who are exposed to these chemicals in their air and water.
