What a year 2022 has been! For our home on planet Earth, it was a year of new challenges as the climate crisis continues to impact communities worldwide. But in times of uncertainty, EARTHDAY‍.ORG unites with our global partners, world leaders, youth activists and volunteers to work together, galvanizing ways to Invest In Our Planet.

We are the hub which unites humanity to show up for our planet on Earth Day, April 22nd, and every day. All year round, EARTHDAY‍.ORG organizes millions around the globe building  on our mission to diversify, educate, and activate the environmental movement worldwide.

Over the course of the year, we saw volunteers in every country take action for the planet. We successfully advocated for global plastic policy changes. The Great Global Cleanup removed close to 200 million pounds of plastic and other waste from their communities. The Canopy Project planted several million trees and provided community and economic development throughout India, Bangladesh, Brazil, and across Africa and Asia. We moved civil society, companies, and countries to action around climate literacy. Earth Day proudly participated in litigation that protected the endangered grey wolf. And we’re driving awareness and momentum to overhaul the fashion industry with our Fashion for the Earth campaign, now in its second year. And so much more…

So, what comes next? We will be front and center in tackling the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. The future of our planet and the people who inhabit it depends on each and every one of us.
