Friends:
Much of our society still operates on the basis of explicit medical apartheid, with care rooted in racial and economic segregation. We see this within the United States and on a global scale when comparing access between the U.S. and other countries where PIH works, such as Liberia, Haiti, or Malawi.
Time and again, dignified care and lifesaving medicines and vaccines are sold for profit, and there is an explicit acceptance by many that those unable to pay will be excluded and left to die.
At this time of year, we are grateful that you, and PIH supporters like you, do not accept this trickle-down approach to health care that unjustly delays the benefits of science from reaching those most in need.
Your contribution of $149 will be tripled by a matching donor. Please donate now >>
