The Silent Auction is opening in just a couple of weeks! Have you donated an item yet? Donating an item is a great way to gain exposure for your organization while supporting the Chamber. Popular items that do well include vacation packages, restaurant gift cards, or sporting and theater tickets.
To submit your item, send the completed Silent Auction Donation form to Katie Nord at [email protected] before February 21. The Silent Auction will officially open on January 30, so try to submit your donation form sooner rather than later to be among the first items viewed in the electronic catalog!

The Arlington School Board has initiated a search for a new superintendent, and is seeking your input on desired qualifications for the new hire. Community input will be used to assist the board in developing an in-depth profile for the position, and identifying a highly qualified leader who will enhance the board’s positive culture of learning, and promote excellence and equity for all students.

This month’s Small Business Roundtable topic is “How Small Business Owners Can Avoid Costly Mistakes” presented by Jay E. Reiner CPA. During this presentation, Reiner will discuss things to consider to help you maintain your business accounting records, and to help you save tax money. If you’ve been a W-2 employee and are now an independent contractor/small business owner, there are record keeping and tax requirements that you may not have thought of, but will need your attention. Come to this informative event to get your tax related questions answered!
