John,
How can someone who knows so little about firearms be so sure of himself?
Justin Trudeau suggests that his government is keeping Canadians safe and the goal is to ban all “assault style weapons” in Canada…
Trudeau CLEARLY has no clue what he is talking about.
The reality is that Canada has not allowed the sale of assault weapons since the early 1960’s.
I find it incredibly ironic that the man who lectures us on equality and discrimination wants to ban guns based on how they look!
Justin, I can tell you as a firearm owner, just because a gun is black doesn’t mean it's a “weapon of war”!
This new policy is just ABSURD!! Canada has had and continues to have the most comprehensive licensing process ever… so what is Trudeau trying to accomplish?
This government is suggesting that it is the LEGAL firearm owners who are to blame.
You know who they are?
Your neighbors, your friends, your family members, who enjoy hunting and sport shooting.
Perhaps they are the ranchers and trappers who use firearms as their means to support their families.
John, I worked as a corrections officer for 12 years, and I can tell you that in my ENTIRE career I never ONCE met anyone in jail who used a personal, legal firearm in the execution of their crimes.
In fact, legal firearms owners are some of the most law abiding citizens in Canada!
It makes no sense to penalize them for crimes they were never going to commit.
The PPC is the ONLY party that has a comprehensive firearms policy that would see your firearms protected as personal property!
We need to fix this. We need a strong PPC voice in Ottawa to expose the realities about firearms and crime.

P.P.S. I am especially grateful to all those – students, retirees, unemployed – who pay the full cost of their donations because their modest incomes are below taxable levels and they get no government refund.
