In 2023 we will celebrate 100 years of Texas State Parks! Start the year in the fresh air of the great outdoors with a stroll, dog walk, hike or bike ride in your favorite state parks. Whether exercising your body, relaxing your mind or enjoying some social time, your parks offer?outdoor fun for everyone!

You can make reservations for most Texas state parks up to 5 months in advance for overnight visits and up to 30 days in advance for day visits.
First Day Hike?at Colorado Bend ? Join a ranger for a fun First Day Hike on the Cedar Chopper Trail.
First Day Hike, Bike, Run and Paddle at Inks Lake ? Start the New Year off on the right foot (then left foot, right foot, left foot) by attending one of our many planned activities for New Year's Day.?
First Day Hike: Self-Guided at Palmetto?? With this self-guided hike, choose any of the open trails, and once you have completed your journey, head on back to the headquarters building to pick up your First Day Hike Sticker.?
