Dear Friend,

It's the final week of #RealFactsOnHomelessness. Over the course of five weeks, we have shared 14 Myths of Homelessness and the Real Facts on Homelessness to help expose myths related to housing, homelessness, and funding opportunities with our friends, family, and colleagues.

We encourage you to review the final three myths below and get the #RealFactsOnHomelessness through this email, National Coalition for the Homeless's Facebook page, and the HousingNow!2020 Twitter account.

  • Myth 12: Prioritizing Housing for the Chronically Homeless and most vulnerable frees up resources that can be re-directed to house families, youth and other homeless individuals. Get the RealFacts here.
  • Myth 13: HUD, USICH and their consultants know what works best for each community to end homelessness. Get the RealFacts here.
  • Myth 14: Homelessness will always be with us. Get the RealFacts here.

It's not too late to share this email with friends, family, and colleagues to get them engaged--we're just getting started sharing information and other ways to get involved in the HousingNow!2020 movement!

Stay Tuned! Details of our upcoming webinar will be released soon for late January, followed by a series of podcasts that are sure to get your wheels turning.

We hope you use what you've learned on #RealFactsOnHomelessness to engage in dialogue around housing, homelessness, and funding sources with your network. We also invite you to provide your thoughts about solutions from these conversations here.
