Folks,

I know you’re busy, but this is going to be one of the longer messages I send you — and I would appreciate it if you could take the time to read it.

I want to outline why your support is critical to the future of this grassroots movement. But first, I’m going to ask if you’ll chip in to my campaign’s end-of-year deadline to help us hit our goal: [[link removed]]

Step 1: Engage People Across the Entire District

Talking to my constituents in Alabama's 7th District is one of my favorite parts of this job — it’s important for me to hear directly from folks across the district about the issues that matter to them and the challenges they’re facing.

This work is crucial to our organizing efforts in 2023. In addition to reaching out to people in person, we plan on continuing to conduct issue surveys, distribute petitions, and connect over email with supporters. Your contributions are key to this campaign’s successful digital organizing.

Step 2: Stand Up to the GOP and Right-Wing Attacks

The GOP has taken a slim majority in the House, and we’re expecting them to ring in the new year with an onslaught of anti-democratic legislation that rolls back all the progress we’ve made. Whether it's dismantling Social Security and Medicare, restricting voting rights, or rolling back environmental protections -- Republicans have made it clear their 2023 priorities lie with megacorporations and the 1% who’ve bought them out — not with working families.

So folks, I’m counting on supporters like you to help me push back on the incoming Republican House Majority's agenda.

Step 3: Advocate for the Issues that Matter

My constituents have always been at the heart of everything I do, and 2023 will be no exception.

I’m going to continue fighting in Congress for the issues that matter to Alabamians like:

*
Protecting
voting
rights
*
*
Expanding
access
to
affordable
healthcare
*
*
Strengthening
our
infrastructure
*
*
Providing
a
lifeline
to
our
economy

Republicans may have regained control of the House, but our fight isn't over.

That’s why I send you emails like these and ask for your help to reach my fundraising goals — my team and I count on your help to generate the resources we need to keep fighting for progress in Congress.

Folks, that’s our game plan.

To take this from an idea to reality, I’m going to need your help. My finance team let me know that we still have to raise $5,631 until we reach our end-of-year fundraising goal. Will you chip in any amount you can to help us prepare for the battles ahead? [[link removed]]
