Over the last 12 months, Mike has led the charge to advance conservative policies and make our nation stronger, all while working tirelessly to ensure Northern Wisconsin remains the best place to live, work, and raise a family.

Gallagher Makes WI-08 History with Record-Breaking Victory

Bottom Line: Mike Gallagher garnered more than 70% of the vote and won by nearly 60%, which is the largest margin of victory in the history of the Eighth Congressional District, and won all 11 counties in the district.

Gallagher’s Appointed to Chair China Select Committee

Bottom Line: "’As a Member who served in uniform as a Marine Counterintelligence officer and has dedicated his time in Congress to understanding, educating, and defending America from the threat the CCP poses, Mike Gallagher is exceptionally qualified and is the right person to lead and advance this important agenda at this vital moment,’ McCarthy said.”

Gallagher Scores Legislative Victories for Northeast Wisconsin

Bottom Line: "Let's build ice breakers, let’s break ice more efficiently and let’s have northeast Wisconsin thrive economically as a result.”

Gallagher Introduces Legislation to Address the Nationwide Trucker Shortage

Bottom Line: “We got a reminder in the pandemic early on when there were shortages on the shelves just how critical trucking is to everyday life in Northeast Wisconsin, and it’s a problem we can’t ignore."

Bottom Line: “Americans should not have to sacrifice and suffer for Biden’s foolish decisions.”

Gallagher Introduces Legislation to Ban TikTok Nationwide

Bottom Line: “The fundamental problem is this: TikTok is owned by ByteDance and ByteDance is effectively controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. The editor-in-chief of ByteDance, for example, is a CCP secretary and has talked about making sure all product lines and all business lines follow appropriate political control.”

Gallagher Explains How Biden Failed Ukrainians

Bottom Line: "Shame on us for being so slow to help our friends in Ukraine who are demonstrating the will to fight. We could have armed them to the teeth. It wouldn't have required us to put our own boots on the ground and it would've made this even more difficult for Vladimir Putin. But of course, the Biden Administration was wedded to this threat of a sanctions-only strategy that ultimately failed to deter Putin.”   

Gallagher Stresses the Importance of Deterring Chinese Aggression

Bottom Line: “What could deter an invasion, said Gallagher, would be subs, special operators, and other forces in the ‘weapon engagement zone,’ as well as a stockpiling of munitions and fully-staffed and equipped bases in the Indo-Pacific region.”
