I want to take a moment to appreciate where we are and how far we’ve come. This movement has made real progress -- 75% of the congressional maps are considered fair.

But our work isn’t over.

We’re going into 2023 with a number of ongoing challenges. A quarter of our states have congressional maps that are still drawn unfairly. The Supreme Court has refused to follow Voting Rights Act precedent and as a result elections in some states were run in 2022 using racially gerrymandered maps. Some of those fair maps we achieved will be under assault as early as next year.

It’s not over.

It’s up to us to not only protect the progress we have made but also to build on it for future generations -- and we are counting on your support to continue that work. Will you make an end-of-year donation to All On The Line?

The path to progress is not a straight one. We have had success. We will face challenges. We must play the long game and stay committed to the fight for a more fair democracy.

In 2023, we will be focusing on preventing new gerrymandering of recently drawn fair maps through potential redraws in states like North Carolina, we will be advocating for further redistricting reforms, we will support voters who challenge gerrymandered maps in court, and we are prepared to defend against future attacks on our democracy. Every dollar counts in ensuring we have the resources to safeguard our democracy -- because that democracy is worth fighting for.
