The clampdown on LGBTIQ rights by political leaders and religious fundamentalists in the West African country resulted in the introduction of a draconian anti-LGBTIQ bill before the country’s Parliament in 2021. This report, which is the result of an ongoing collaboration between Outright International and Rightify Ghana, concluded that the bill has created an unsafe environment for LGBTIQ persons, leading to severe human rights violations by law enforcement and members of the general public. Learn more.
This report examines the domestic violence national legislation of ten countries in Asia. The report also analyzes the provisions in each country’s domestic violence law in order to determine their responsiveness to the contexts and needs of LGBTQ survivors of domestic violence. Check out the report.
