As the year comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the work we did together this year while I am preparing for the year ahead.

I’ll be blunt. We have our work cut out for us in 2023.

Republicans hold a narrow majority in the U.S. House, which means we need to work even harder to deliver for Michigan and working class Americans. I know it’s going to take leaders from states like Michigan who are ready to stand up and fight to deliver solutions for manufacturing, trade, and other economic issues.

I launched the Heartland Caucus, a group of Democrats who will advocate for these issues and deliver real solutions that make a difference in the day-to-day lives of Americans.

Next year is also a critical year to prepare for the 2024 presidential election. It might seem early, but battleground states like Michigan can’t rest in the off years.

We need to continue building on the winning momentum we created in Michigan’s 6th District this year.
