The judge's ruling goes against all precedent. It declares that young people who get care through Title X don't have a right to confidentiality. Title X is the nation's only federal program dedicated to providing affordable birth control and other sexual and reproductive health care to people with low incomes.

This could put young people seeking birth control in danger if they don't feel safe talking to their parents about sexual and reproductive health care. They might not seek the care they need.
