Hi team – I’m Phil Murphy, the Governor of New Jersey. I’m emailing you because I was just elected as the new Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, and I couldn’t be more excited to get to work.

I’ll be reaching out to you and this community regularly about our work to elect Democratic governors – and as my first order of business, I wanted to take this opportunity to hear directly from you as we build our plans for next year and beyond.

Can you take a moment to fill out our Priorities Survey and share what you think Democrats should focus on to win races, expand on our successes, and fight back against the GOP agenda? I’d like to hear from 21 Democrats in 19125 today to craft a winning strategy.

It was a historic year for Democratic governors. With your support, we flipped three states from red-to-blue, elected 6 new Democratic governors, and protected our blue firewall by reelecting Dem govs in key battlegrounds like Michigan and Wisconsin.

But we can’t rest. Heading into 2023, reelecting Gov. Andy Beshear and keeping Kentucky blue is my first order of business. But with Republicans already eyeing our strategy for weaknesses, we’re depending on you to step up once more, team.
