As the year comes to a close, we wanted to look back on how your support helped us succeed in 2022 by the numbers.

This year we raised and spent $11.3 million, which supported a staff of 19 people (plus dozens of paid interns and over 200 paid canvassers on MSU's campus). And with the help of nearly 2,000 volunteers, our efforts translated to more than 85,000 doors knocked, 670,000 phone calls made and more than 1 million text messages sent!

We also distributed over 3,000 yard signs and 30 jumbo yard signs across the district.

Our historic war chest allowed us to get up on TV in July – months earlier than the competition – and stay up through Election Day with a total of 10 TV ads. 

Being on TV that early checked a few boxes for us: first, Elissa had extra time to become a familiar face to the new areas of the district that hadn’t voted for her before. Second, she was able to clearly communicate her record before the attack ads started and they started to distort her bio. By the time our competition got up on the air, our ads were drowning them out.

Elissa was also on TV for two memorable debates and gained national attention when U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) endorsed Elissa, the first time that Congresswoman Cheney formally endorsed a Democrat. 

They may have real policy disagreements, but both Elissa and Rep. Cheney know that our country needs two healthy parties to function – and some things, like patriotism, rise above partisan lines. Voters agreed: Our event with Rep. Cheney attracted 600 attendees. (The biggest event we hosted all year!)
