2022 was an incredible year for Groundwork Project – it was also our first full year of operation since launching!

In the past twelve months, we have accomplished all we imagined and more — supported more organizations, expanded into a fourth partner state, deepened our footprint, listened, learned, and grew. We showed up in places too many leave behind.

There’s so much to share, more than can fit in one email – I invite you to check out our full annual report here: [link removed]

In our report, we deep dive into the progress we’ve made in our first full year. We’ve said it before: our states are the real battlegrounds. They are the terrain where the future of our democracy will be determined; the arenas to unwinding conservative power, fertile ground to lift up equitable, progressive organizations. By the end of this year, we will have invested over $2 million in 36 organizations throughout our partner states.

None of this would have been possible without you, really. Our end of year budget deadline is on Saturday. Help us keep the momentum going with a donation now: [link removed]

We have so much planned for 2023 – from growing our partner networks and our staff to expanding our grants to continue our mission to support progressive civic organizing in our states.

More on all of that later… For now, let’s celebrate all we have accomplished together. Our staff spent the past few weeks organizing our achievements, stats and metrics to share with you. Read more about our first full year, hear testimonials from the ground, and more in Groundwork’s 2022 Annual Report: [link removed]

I’m immensely proud of our work this year, all of which would not be possible without you, friend — thank you.

Joe

Founded by Joe Kennedy III, Groundwork Project invests in year-round, local community organizing in places Democrats have gotten used to writing off. With a focus on Appalachia, the Deep South, and the Plains, we support local advocates and activists working to build durable political infrastructure and secure power for those historically excluded.
