Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was the subject of much speculation about running for the Republican nomination for this seat. But he announced this week that he's going to remain in his post in the Trump Administration instead -- meaning that Barbara's Republican competitor will most likely be Kris Kobach, an out-of-touch conservative with ultra-radical views.

That means Democrats have a better chance than ever of winning this race, but it's also one we can't afford to lose. We not only need to elect Barbara to help Democrats claim a Senate majority, we need to keep extreme conservatives like Kris Kobach out of the halls of power.

Team, I'm all in for Barbara because we need her voice of reason in the Senate. Will you pitch in $5 to help her win and flip the Senate this November?
