Special Match Announcement

Give a year-end gift and double your donation! Longtime NhRP supporters Carisa Janes and Jay Levitt have generously offered to match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $125,000, so your donation will be doubled when you give through December 31st. This means for every $1 donated, we receive $2!

Donations made before the end of 2022 will help us pay for costs associated with our #FreeTheFresnoElephants case and campaign along with new nonhuman rights cases we’ll file in the first half of 2023. Please help us restore the dignity of imprisoned and exploited nonhuman animals and continue to take on the powerful and well-funded US captivity industry with a year-end donation today. Carisa Janes is the founder and CEO of Hourglass Cosmetics, a cruelty-free luxury cosmetics brand that has been our corporate partner since 2017. She’s also the trustee for Happy and our California elephant clients (when we file suit, we set up trusts in our clients’ names, which require trustees to administer the funds). Jay Levitt, an attorney and Carisa’s husband, learned about the NhRP from the documentary Unlocking the Cage when it aired on HBO; he found our mission and work compelling and told Carisa about the film. Since then, they’ve become dear friends of the NhRP. Thank you Carisa and Jay for this generous match pledge!
