Sherrod Brown - Senator from Ohio [[link removed]]
I know what you might be thinking -- we have been talking a lot about 2024, and that can feel like a long way off.
I want to explain why the stakes are too high to leave anything to chance. [[link removed]]

This year, we expanded our Senate majority by one seat. That means Republicans only need to flip two seats to retake control. They already have a majority in the House.
Senate Republicans have been very clear about what they want to do if they seize power:
Cuts to Social Security and Medicare. A nationwide abortion ban. Take away access to health care from millions. Raise taxes on working-class families.
Those policies would mean uncertainty for Ohioans about where to get health care when they need it. Uncertainty about a secure retirement and a sound financial future. A harder time paying bills. All the while knowing the system is stacked against them in so many ways.
There’s a reason why this is the GOP’s plan -- Republicans are acting with their donors’ interests in mind rather than working people’s interests.
That’s not how I operate. I put working people front and center of every decision I make in Congress.
That’s why I fought to secure a million people’s pensions. It’s why I fought to bring thousands of new manufacturing jobs to Ohio. And it’s why I’m fighting to restore the expanded Child Tax Credit to give working families a little more breathing room.
There are two possible outcomes in 2024 and they would have two very different impacts on Ohioans. We need to start preparing for our election now so we have the resources to keep up with Republicans’ special interest-funded war chests. And while it may sound corny, I can assure you it’s the truth -- we rely on the generosity of people like you to fund our campaign.
The last FEC deadline of the year is less than a week away. Any amount you can contribute before then would help a great deal. [[link removed]]
