In Syria, this farmer and his family (names withheld for safety) fled
their home when conflict broke out nearby. Despite his injured leg, they
traveled 80 km, his family sometimes carrying him, until a car stopped to
help them.


    [ [link removed] ]$44 in cash assistance helped Akeno buy a month’s worth of food in
drought-ravaged northern Kenya.
 
    [ [link removed] ]$100 in cash assistance helped a farmer in conflict-affected Syria
get the medical care he needed for a leg injury.
 
    [ [link removed] ]$408 in cash assistance dispersed over six months helped Arianna
start a food cart business in Colombia.
