Dear John,
When you hear about immigration in the news, the focus is likely on Washington or the southern border. But we know that immigration issues aren’t confined to certain hot spots. Immigration touches every part of the country.
That’s why the American Immigration Council is dedicated to ensuring our work reaches everyone, from coast to coast.
In 2022, we’ve done targeted outreach, especially to people in Republican-led states who are experiencing more disinformation and misinformation campaigns. These efforts include:
- Breaking into conservative media to promote immigrant integration, with ads running on Fox News, the NFL Network, Sling-TV, and more.
- Building the infrastructure to help immigrants succeed in the most conservative parts of America through our local immigrant inclusion work.
- Placing over 120 stories in outlets across the country, including an op-ed in Fortune Magazine from Republican Utah Gov. Spencer Cox on how states can manage refugee resettlement.
- Providing research and messaging through the Office of New Americans network to governors and leaders who recognize the value of immigrant and refugee inclusion.
With your help, we can continue to tailor our message and advocacy to ensure it reaches everyone, no matter which part of the United States they live in.
Sincerely,
Mo Kantner
Director of State and Local Initiatives
