Hi, team. It’s Roy Cooper, Governor of North Carolina, and I have an important update.

For the past year, I’ve been honored to serve as the DGA’s Chair. We had a historic showing in the midterms. And this month, I passed the torch to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy.

I’m so proud of the work we’ve done together to elect Democrats, but the work doesn’t end with my tenure as chair. So I’m asking for your help today to make sure the DGA starts 2023 in a position to notch even more critical victories.

This year, Democrats netted a pick up of two governorships, defying expectations and making history with the best midterm results for any president’s party since 1986.

These races serve as a blueprint for how to win tough races across America. Strong candidates laser-focused on the issues their states cared about most, combined with record-breaking investment from the DGA, made sure voters understood the stakes this year.

But Republicans have already begun their attacks for next year. They’re hoping to flip states led by strong Democratic governors like Kentucky and Louisiana and replace them with far-right, Trump-style Republicans. We simply cannot let that happen.

I’m doing everything in my power to make sure next year is as successful as this year, but I need your help, team. Will you invest $3 before our FINAL fundraising deadline of the year – while all donations are being DOUBLED up to our $100,000 end-of-year goal – to protect our progress, elect Democratic governors, and defeat Republicans nationwide?
